Mr. Martin Warioba

Martin Warioba is the Founder and Managing Partner at Warioba Ventures, an Africa-focused investment and advisory firm supporting fintech and technology startups. With over 21 years of experience in IT and payments, he played a crucial role in developing mobile wallet interoperability across Tanzania, DRC, Rwanda, and Uganda. Martin holds a Computer Science degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA and MSc from Arizona State University.

Since January 2020, Martin has served as an Independent, Non-Executive Director on the board of CRDB Bank PLC and its Audit Committee. He has also been the Chairman of the CRDB Bank Foundation since May 2022. A certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and founder of the Tanzania PMI Chapter, Martin is dedicated to mentoring young African professionals in technology, corporate governance, and leadership. He is a regular speaker at conferences across Africa and enjoys reading, travelling, and sports, particularly golf, basketball, athletics, and soccer.
